Refit of the Rossi
Scrum Board
Our enclosure has both screens and 'glass' panels that are interchangeable. |
We purchased the Rossi at Goose Pond Marina in Scottsboro Alabama. The boat was in pretty rough shape and needed a thorough cleaning and a long list of projects to bring her up to speed. Our idea was to clean the boat and move aboard while we repaired and outfitted. We organized all of our projects on a scrum board in the cabin. Grouping projects in three categories kept us focus on priorities, Move Aboard, Loop Ready and Nice to Have. The columns used to track our progress were ToDo, InProgress and Done!
After cleaning the first project was to install an air conditioner. It was July in Alabama which is very, very hot!
While Scott was cutting holes in the roof he installed:
- New AC
- Lewmar windlass
- Solar panel.
New Enclosure |
Scott installing:
New AC outlets, propane detector, new starter batteries, lithium house battery with Victron bus bar, shunt and DC/DC charger, new Garmin/transducer etc. etc. etc. There was so much happening here and we worked for weeks on getting all of these projects done - and yes we were living aboard in the marina.
That's a Wrap |
There were literally about 100 other projects, including refinishing all of the teak doors, making a new v-berth mattress, re-doing all of the screens, refurbishing the dingy, reupholstering the cushions and the list went on and on. We wrapped up the middle of October and cast the lines.
